worship
Come and see what sacramental worship is all about — experiencing the grace of God through sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. Have your world transformed by finding God regularly present in the everyday forms of water, bread, and wine. And experience a community of faith in which God’s healing and liberating love sets us free and sends us forth to share God’s Good News of new life in Christ!
While there are some aspects of our worship that may be new and different for you, there’s nothing you need to know ahead of time, except that we’re all learning along the way. There’s always someone to help you get through the service, and you’re always welcome to ask for help if you’re lost.
Holy Trinity’s worship includes the use of pure frankincense incense during the seasons of Advent and Lent and on most high holy-days of the church year, including Christmas, Epiphany, Shrove Tuesday/Ash Wednesday, Holy Saturday, Easter, and Pentecost. We also use homemade whole wheat eucharistic bread, which contains honey and molasses.
Our Lady’s Chapel is also open for prayer any time the office is open and the flags are flying.
Regular weekly services:
Sundays @ 10:00am Family Friendly Service
This is a family-friendly service in which we gather to sing, to hear and reflect on God’s Word, to pray for our needs and those of the world, to share in holy communion, and to go forth transformed and strengthened for faithful living. This service will feel relatively ‘traditional’ both to those familiar and unfamiliar with Episcopal worship. Music includes both organ and piano, and worshipers can expect incense during the high, holy seasons and days of the church year. Come one and all, young and old!
Sundays @ 7:00pm Holden Evening Prayer every 2nd Sunday during Summer Months
This is a worship service geared toward young adults and other seekers and skeptics. Sundays @ 7 is casual, contemplative, and participatory — truly the work of the people. This is very much a teaching/learning service and is open to all those who’d like to know more about the church’s faith and practice. Worshipers can expect incense during the high, holy seasons and days of the church year. Come and see! Sundays @ 7 will occur every second Sunday during the summer and will be sung Holden evening prayer.
Wednesdays Evening Prayer @ 5:00pm in the Lady Chapel
Join other dinner table guests and volunteers for Wednesday evening prayer @ 5pm in Lady’s Chapel. This is a chance for us to re-center our mission in the Good News and to refresh our hearts and minds to receive our guests with joy and grace.
All are welcome! Volunteers are especially encouraged!
