cathedral lenten series
Our diocesan cathedral is offering its annual Lenten program, beginning Wednesday, March 4th. Each evening begins with worship at 5:30pm in the cathedral, followed by a simple soup supper from 6-6:30pm, and concluding with a short presentation from 6:30-7:30pm.
Topics for the weekly presentations are as follows: (each class runs the duration of Lent)
Pioneers of the Spirit w/ the Rev. Elizabeth Hasen (Christian mystics)
Art, Reflection, & Prayer w/ Lena Lopez-Schindler (producing & praying w/ art)
Centering Prayer w/ the Rev. Barrett Lindsay (attentive listening)
From Christ to Creed w/ Virgil Dedas (early xtn history up to 325ce)
The Seven ‘I am’ Statements of Jesus w/ the Rev. Jeff Neuberger (gospel of john)
Everyone is welcome to participate in the cathedral Lenten series. As the cathedral is really the ‘home church’ for all episcopalians in the Diocese of Spokane (our congregations are really ‘mission outposts’), it’s the cathedral’s honor and privilege to be able to offer these events. Please take advantage of these great classes as a way to in-form your Lent this year!
The Cathedral is located at 12th & Grand on the south hill. Questions? Contact the cathedral at 509.838.4277.
