westar instituteJoin others interested in a scholarly approach to Scripture on September 26th and 27th at Spokane’s Unity Church of Truth — 2900 S. Bernard Street.  The Westar Institute presents a workshop in the “Jesus Seminar on the Road” tour entitled Rediscovering Paul, led by Bernard Brandon Scott and Arthur Dewey.

Friday evening begins at 7:30pm with a lecture called “Will the real Paul please stand up?”  The program continues Saturday with a series of workshops running from 9:30am-4pm.

The promotion states: “The legacy of the apostle Paul dominates early Christianity… He is often credited — or blamed — for many traditional moral positions still debated in our culture. But, over the past twenty years, a new Paul has emerged — one who differs from that of Augustine and Luther.”

Pre-register by 9/5 for $50 or register thereafter for $60. Additional family members are $40/ea. You may also attend the Friday night lecture only for $15.  For more information, contact Harriet Jacobson at Unity Church — 509.838.6518 or hatjac@comcast.net.  To register, contact the Westar Institute at 877.523.3545 or visit their website.
