Join us on Saturday, December 1st from 9am to 12noon as we decorate the church for the Season of Advent. Come help set up trees and branches, hang lights, and clean for the beginning of a new church year. More hands make for lighter work! Coffee and doughnuts will be in abundance.

light in the darknessAdvent is the season of expectation — the season in which we prepare to receive the Christ child on Christmas Day. While the season seems to have some penitential undertones, it’s nonetheless intended for our joy and celebration as the Messiah — God’s Anointed One — comes among us to usher in a new Kingdom. This King is like no other and He comes among us as a Light in the darkness. So, during this season of unbearably short days, we wait with great hope for the new day’s dawning, trusting that, indeed, light is greater than darkness. Be ready! Something new is on the way.
